Snowy and Sprucey are ready!

Wet and wild weather has hit Fenland Dog Park but Snowy are Sprucey will soon bring some Christmas cheer.

It seems like we missed Autumn this year, with Summer extending right through to the end of October!  The warm and dry Summer weather continued which meant the mighty Kubota mower did less grass cutting, but the water container was filled up more!

Daylength has been shortening, and when the clocks went back at the end of October Fenland Dog Parks opening hours were reduced, and again more recently, as we approach the shortest day of the year.  We are now open from 08:00-16:00, with our last booking slot at 15:00.  As day length increases in the New Year, so will our opening hours again.

In October we celebrated Howl-O-Ween with some pumpkins carved by some of the local school children, and also a few scary (?) decorations were put up on the fences and in the shelter.  Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great around then, but the brave were out for a bit of trick or treating.

With our motto of ‘locals supporting locals’ then Fenland Dog Park are proud to support Long Sutton Hockey Club again, and in particular with player sponsors; Hannah B who plays in the Ladies 1st team, and Adam C who plays in the Men’s 3rd team.  It has been great to watch a few of the matches and we wish the ‘Green & White Army’ continued fun and success for the season.

We are also pleased to have recently supported the Spotted Long Sutton fundraising for the Long Sutton Santa Visit on 20th December at Lighting Up Long Sutton, which will include Santa and his elves visiting and presents for all the children.  If you can support them, then please visit their GoFundMe page and join in the fun on the night.  And if any of you are still struggling for gifting ideas for yourselves then you may have seen the posters in the Dog Park of local artist Jo Goodberry who draws and paints amazing pet portraits.

And with Christmas spirit, Snowy & Sprucey look forward to welcoming you to Fenland Dog Park Long Sutton, and we thank you for your continued support.  We wish you, your families and your pets a happy and healthy festive period.
